The Springboard Difference

The Springboard Difference

The reality of non-profit agencies today is drastically different from when Springboard started over forty years ago. Our organization has changed to reflect this new reality – evolving from an agency with a single focus, Justice Services, to a multi-focused social service agency with a larger mandate – to empower people with the right skills to succeed. Our agency focuses on clients as a means to improve the communities in which we operate. In short, more productive and engaged people results in a more productive and stronger community.

Springboard’s three program areas, Justice, Employment and Developmental Disability Services, gives us a unique understanding of what it takes to help clients. We know how developmental disabilities or a lack of employment can factor into issues of justice. We are able to cross social service boundaries because of our multi-faceted expertise. This allows us to focus on what the client needs, as opposed to considering how this client fits into a rigid program structure.

We define our services through our core values: accountability, community engagement, diversity, innovation and professionalism. The overarching theme of our programming is that we make communities stronger. We focus on how our clients can give back and benefit the community – all while reaching their individual goals.
